Emma was initially an anxious patient who first visited the clinic in August 2023 expressing concerns about how her smile looked and wanting to improve it.
During her initial consultation, it was recommended for Emma to undergo some routine dental hygiene before addressing the appearance of her smile.
Emma had two old dental crowns which she wanted to improve the visual appearance of but once removed they both revealed unhealthy teeth which had to be removed.
Once removed, the first solution we offered was a denture to replace the two missing teeth, but following some discomfort, the denture was later replaced with two dental ‘Maryland’ bridges.
Emma’s dental bridges have now been fitted and she has since gone on to achieve the comfortable smile she was looking for.
“I’m more outgoing. I laugh more. I smile more.”
Digital Smile Design
In cases like Emma’s patients may sometimes be referred to our in-house laboratory for digital smile design.
Our digital smile design process helps us to visualise the potential results from the treatments that have been recommended before treatment begins.
The digital smile design process was a great way to reassure Emma that we could give her a smile she would be proud of before treatment began.
Emma’s Results
When asked how she felt with her new smile following the completion of her treatment, Emma said.
“Before the treatment people were asking me to come and get in a photo and I would refuse, I didn’t want to, whereas now I’m like okay let’s do it!”.
Emma’s Experience
Many patients often experience anxiety and apprehension about the dentist so we strive to provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the clinic to help them feel at ease.
Emma’s treatment journey was multidisciplinary and required several appointments at the clinic for general dentistry, dental prosthetics and dental bridges. When asked about her own experience, Emma revealed that at first, her Husband had to come with her due to the difficulties she had experienced in the past.
“When I first came I had to come with my husband because I was petrified, whereas now I could come on my own. That’s how everyone’s made me feel.”

Arrange a free no obligation phone consultation
Requesting a no-obligation phone consultation with our treatment coordinator will allow you to ask any questions you may have. We can also arrange for you to visit the clinic to meet with one of our dental team for a further clinical assessment.

We will talk in-depth about the available treatments, along with the treatment process and payment options. It is also a great opportunity to have a look around our facilities and to meet with our friendly team, something which a lot of our anxious and nervous patients find is a great help.
